Feeling shocked and stunned by the news today that a high court judgement has ruled that trans women will no longer be protected as women under the 2010 Gender Equality Act 😓

We’ve already seen some of the worst examples of transphobic legislation and discrimination coming out of the US since the Trump administration took up office this year, and it worries me deeply to see this taking root today in the UK.

This is part of a broader pushback and anti-trans agenda that in itself is nothing new, but to see such a major reversal of legal rights signals alarm bells over our current heading in UK society 🚨
