New Partnership: Liquid Colour Design

If you follow my social media, you’ll already have seen that I’m currently bouncing off the walls with excitement at the arrival of a new helmet, designed & painted by Liquid Colour Design. Frankly, any driver who doesn’t get excited about a new helmet clearly hasn’t seen Iain Baldwin’s work, I’ve followed him on Instagram for years now and when it came to choosing a designer for my new Arai… there was only one option.

I’m very proud to announce that I will be working with Liquid Colour Design as a brand ambassador, as someone who’s very passionate about design, I couldn’t think of a better partnership.

I do the majority of my own design work, from the cars livery (I also do work for clients too) to my website and video content, when it comes to my helmet I love being able to hand over control to someone who’s work I admire. You can hear more about the brief I gave to Iain in the video below, but I kept it fairly simple (as much on his instruction as anything else) as he wanted to see the concept develop without too much intervention from yours truly. This way it’s far more exciting, and having seen the range of work on his website, I knew he’d produce something amazing.

I met Iain for the first time at Autosport in January, his enthusiasm is completely infectious and I’ve been excited ever since. I’d brought along a hair brush to show him so he could match the colour exactly (it’s a fluorescent coral/vermillion), and I just knew there & then I’d made an awesome choice in asking him to do the job.

Having previously worn a Bell, I wanted to try an Arai as I’ve heard so many good things about them – I went for a GP-6 which is one of their most popular models. Being as I’ve moved into closed cockpit cars, we didn’t fit a spoiler as they’re too easy to break jumping in & out of the car while doing driver changes (spoiler alert).

NEW HELMET REVEAL – Arai GP-6 from Liquid Colour DesignI’m super excited to announce a new partnership as a brand ambassador for Liquid Colour Design – they’ve done an amazing job designing & painting my new Arai helmet :D <3
