We live in a time of cancel culture, and I have experienced first hand how people are frequently scared of making mistakes when it comes to engaging with the LGBTQ+ community, especially the Trans element.
This creates awkwardness and inertia, which prevents learning, trust and sharing, significantly impacting communication, cooperation and effective teamwork.

THE UNIQUE LIFE EXPERIENCE I BRING

My time in motorsport has primarily been spent in male dominated environments, notably lacking in visible diversity, and an absence of any LGBTQ+ education. I know how tough it be to look and feel ‘different’ in this kind of space, and the negative impact it can have on your ability to perform at a level, especially when under intense pressure.

Equally, I appreciate the dramatic difference it can make when you feel supported and able to be your authentic self in the work place. Transitioning and coming out in motorsport have unlocked my potential as an athlete, and the results I have been able to achieve would simply have been impossible without all these elements coming into alignment.
